Homeopathic treatment
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Jock itch or tinea cruris responds well to self care and proper hygienic measures.
But if the disease does not show any improvement with the help of self care measures,
then you need an expert to deal with it.
Before delving into homeopathic treatment let us first discuss the conventional or allopathic treatment available.
Allopathic or conventional treatment and its side effects
According to allopathic or conventional system, there are many anti-fungal and anti-bacterial
ointments which are used as topical applications. Suppression of an uncomplicated
tinea can be achieved using these topical ointments. Many allopathic doctors may
recommend econalzole, amorolfine, clotrimazole and many other ointments. Sometimes,
a steroid is added along with the other creams, which prove to be of least help.
It does not kill the fungus, but instead adds on to the side effects.
The topical applications, in short, just suppress the condition and do not remove
the actual cause of the disease. It leaves the patient more vulnerable to the side
effects such as:
- severe rash
- small skin blisters
- numbness of the part
- redness of the skin
- skin irritation
Homeopathic treatment
Before knowing about homeopathic treatment for jock itch it is important to understand
that skin troubles are usually external manifestation of the inner derangements
of the body.
Skin diseases usually arise due to two deep seated reasons; one is weak and deranged
immunity and the other is some mental trouble in the form of anxiety, worries, fear
and so on.
We all know homeopathy work wonders in skin ailments. The aim is not to suppress the disease by using topical
applications, but to remove its cause permanently.
Homeopathy deals with the man in disease, not with the disease in the man. It has
the affinity to deal both with acute and chronic forms of the disease.
There are number of medicines that help in treating tinea permanently. Symptomatic
relief is attained by judicious administration of the remedies at proper interval.
If started early that is in acute cases the remedies help in improving the itch
and burning sensation rapidly as compared to chronic cases where improvement happens
slowly and gradually.
The remedies create a better environment in the body to let the immunity build up
specifically again the fungus and stop the multiplication of the fungus; thus helping
the individual to get rid of the ring-like patches formed. There will also be a
well-marked improvement in the flake-like appearance of the skin.
Homeopathic treatment also helps in clearing the dark discoloration of the infected skin
which happens in chronic cases.
Treating fungal infections is a hard nut to crack. The beauty of homeopathy lies
in its power to achieve permanent cure with almost zero recurrence. The diseased
human body is made strong at such a level that the vital force (force that lies
within every living organism) becomes strong enough to fight any kind of skin infection.
The small sweet globules have the potential to raise the immunity from within, without
producing any kind of side effects. It is not only safe for an adult but also can
be administered to a small baby and an old individual.
Along with intake of the remedies, one needs to fight the maintaining causes too.
In case of jock itch these are:
- the continuous exposure of the person to warm and moist environment
- not maintaining a proper hygiene
- wearing same clothes without washing them properly for long
- keeping the body in sweat for a longer duration
- malpractices performed by the patient such as excessive smoking and drinking, involvement
with multiple partners, repetitive stress and many more
When such maintaining causes are removed, the process of cure speeds up substantially.
Our aim is not only to improve the skin ailments, but to improve a person’s life
as a whole. An unbiased homeopath seeks to achieve cure not only on a physical level,
but also on mental and emotional levels. After all, mind is the place which gives
birth to all sorts of physical affections.
The correct choice of medicine is done after proper case taking of the patient.
Remedies are chosen according to the symptoms being narrated and also depend upon
the constitution of the patient.
There are 188 medicines which give great relief in jock itch or tinea cruris. However,
the correct choice and the resulting relief is a matter of experience and right
judgment on the part of the doctor. The treatment is decided after thorough case
taking of the patient. Thus remedies are tailor made unlike allopathy in which all
patients receive the same external applications, anti allergics, steroids and so
on although trade name may be different.
